Arkham integrated support for Coinbase‘s x402 standard into its API, allowing artificial intelligence agents to pay for access to onchain data using USDC directly at the moment of each request.
The announcement details an integration developed by Coinbase under the governance of the Linux Foundation. Through the combination of the Coinbase Agentic Wallet and Arkham’s API, agents can track the onchain movements of a token’s top holders, identify accumulation or selling by whales, and analyze wallet flows in real time, without manual intervention from the trader.
Agents can also monitor large-volume transactions, follow “smart money” across wallets, and autonomously detect emerging buying or selling activity. Kevin Leffew, AI GTM Lead at Coinbase, described Arkham as “exactly the kind of high-value data API that x402 was built for,” and highlighted that the use of the CDP Facilitator and USDC on Base makes production onchain intelligence instantly accessible to AI agents, at the exact moment they need it.
Leffew called the integration “a major step toward an internet where agents can discover, purchase, and use data autonomously.”
