World launches World Money, a super app with self-custody available in over 150 countries that combines stablecoin payments, investments, yields, and virtual accounts in a single environment. The project developed under the orbit of Tools for Humanity seeks to strengthen its digital identity proposition as the central infrastructure of the global financial system.

The app supports balances in eight currencies and allows users to send digital assets internationally. One of its most notable components is the integration with Stripe, which provides a funding flow for users in the United States: it converts funds from Apple Pay to stablecoins, generally within minutes. The platform also connects with Kalshi to access prediction markets and with Morpho to access decentralized lending services.

Verification through World ID holds a central place in the proposition. Those who confirm their identity within the app gain access to greater rewards in savings programs, although the availability of features and assets varies by jurisdiction.

The company responds directly to concerns about the proliferation of fake accounts generated by artificial intelligence. “Money moves differently when accounts belong to real people,” the firm stated in its official announcement. “As AI makes fake accounts cheaper and more convincing, a network of humans becomes something that payment rails cannot fake.”

The path that culminated in this launch began in March 2025, when the platform incorporated payments and chat features into its app, enabling users to send and receive crypto assets directly within conversations. That same summer, Circle launched USDC natively on World, replacing the bridged version that had previously operated in the App’s wallets.

Tools for Humanity was co-founded by Alex Blania and Sam Altman, current chief executive officer of OpenAI.
