TL;DR
- Moscow Exchange will launch perpetual futures linked to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and TRON on September 22.
- The contracts give qualified investors regulated exposure to crypto price movements without requiring token delivery.
- MOEX says more than 72,000 qualified investors have traded existing crypto-linked futures, with cumulative turnover above 600 billion rubles, underscoring growing demand for exchange-based digital asset derivatives.
Moscow Exchange is broadening its crypto derivatives lineup with perpetual futures tied to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and TRON. The new contracts are scheduled to begin trading on September 22 and will be available exclusively to qualified investors.
MOEX reported more than 72,000 qualified investors had traded its crypto-linked futures, with cumulative turnover above 600 billion rubles. The figure covers existing derivatives, not the new contracts.
Moscow Exchange Adds Five Crypto Futures
The new instruments will track Moscow Exchange indices for BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP and TRON. Their contract codes are BTCUSDF, ETHUSDF, SOLUSDF, XRPUSDF and TRXUSDF.
MOEX describes them as one-day futures with automatic rollover, creating a structure similar to perpetual contracts used across international crypto markets. Positions can continue from one trading day to the next rather than being tied to a conventional fixed expiration.
The contracts will be quoted in U.S. dollars but settled financially in Russian rubles. No Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP or TRON changes hands through the contracts, allowing investors to gain exposure to price movements without managing wallets or custody.
A funding mechanism is also built into the products to help keep futures pricing aligned with the underlying crypto indices. MOEX has disclosed K1 at 0% and K2 at 0.35% for the new instruments.

Crypto Demand Expands Across Regulated Markets
The launch extends a product line that began with crypto-linked futures in 2025. MOEX later added futures tied directly to its Bitcoin and Ether indices, followed by Solana, XRP and TRON products in 2026.
The exchange’s crypto benchmarks use prices from major global exchanges and are updated at short intervals during relevant trading sessions.
For professional investors, the new contracts provide another route to gain exposure to major crypto assets without taking direct ownership. That can fit portfolios and risk systems built around exchange-traded derivatives rather than spot crypto custody.
MOEX already offers 31 perpetual futures across other asset classes, including currencies, equity and bond indices, precious metals and securities. Adding five crypto-linked contracts brings digital assets further into its established derivatives framework.
With more than 600 billion rubles already traded across existing crypto futures, MOEX is entering the next stage with a broader selection of assets. The September 22 launch gives qualified investors additional tools for accessing Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and TRON through conventional exchange infrastructure.
