It is the aim of Brave that Web3 becomes more accessible to everyone. Using this privacy-first browser coupled with an integrated browser-native crypto wallet offers both a simple and straightforward Web3 onramp to learning crypto and a robust set of Web3 tools for experienced users.

In recent days, Brave has announced the first steps towards its full integration with Solana’s ecosystems through the 1.39 desktop release. As a result of its partnership with Solana, Brave’s users will be able to experience Web3 with a lower transaction fee and faster transaction time than the Ethereum network. As a result of this partnership, in the coming months, users will have seamless access to a growing ecosystem of blockchain-connected decentralized applications (DApps).

More Transparency and Privacy

Through version 1.39, Brave Wallet users will be able to buy, sell, and store both nonfungible Solana tokens (SPL) and fungible Solana tokens (SOL) as well as other cryptocurrencies with fiat payments through Ramp as well as Basic Attention Token (BAT). By using BAT on the Solana Chain wrapped by the Wormhole, as well as on chains compatible with Ethereum and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), holders can transfer BAT between chains without a problem.

Also, the Brave team will be able to take advantage of some upcoming opportunities. With the imminent release of Magic Eden, BAT holders will be able to buy and sell NFTs on the platform, Brave Wallet will offer Dapps on Solana on the desktop, and Brave Wallet and BAT will be integrated into Solana in the near future.

As a result of the deep integration of the Solana blockchain pioneered by Brave back in November of 2013, it will be easier to adopt Web3 for those new to crypto and increase the utility of the platform for more seasoned users. The integration of Solana into Brave (and with that, Brave Wallet) expands the possibilities for users who wish to utilize multiple chains in one place.

Brendan Eich, CEO, and co-founder of Brave said:

“As the leading Web3 browser, Brave is now providing integration with Solana’s blockchain so that users and developers can seamlessly transact on their fast, low-fee network. We’re also looking forward to DApp support in an upcoming release to harness Solana’s growing and thriving DApp ecosystem.”

By releasing the 1.39 version of Brave Wallet and by deeper integrating with Solana, Ramp, and Magic Eden, Brave is bringing new levels of performance, security from identity theft, as well as multi-chain functionality to Brave Wallet, all paired with industry-leading privacy options that put users in control of their online identity and experience. In addition to these milestones, there will be many others when Solana DApps become available in Brave Wallet later this summer.
