TL;DR

  • Shiba Inu (SHIB) officially listed on Solana through the Sunrise bridge and registered an immediate price increase of up to 3.2%.
  • SHIB trading volume surged 228% following the integration, surpassing $112 million in the first hours after the listing.
  • The verified canonical address of the smart contract is shib5gSoVKPjwkXrxRk7SbQFzb2R9rQB3TgQWYX4RwW, a key detail given the proliferation of fake pools.

Shiba Inu completed its official deployment on the Solana network through the Sunrise bridge, and the market responded immediately: the token recorded a 3.2% increase on a daily basis and accumulated a 5% weekly gain.

According to TradingView’s hourly chart, the RSI formed a bullish divergence right after the announcement. SHIB bounced from a local low near $0.000055 before testing resistance in the $0.0000588–$0.0000598 range. Currently, and according to CoinMarketCap, Shiba Inu is trading at $0.000005879, with a volume that exceeds $112 million, a 228% increase compared to the previous session.

The Shiba Effect on Solana: Cheap Liquidity and Fresh Capital

The integration through Sunrise infrastructure not only expands the token’s reach, but also opened a significantly cheaper trading route. The average fee on Solana is just 0.000005 SOL, making frequent trading highly cost-effective, especially for retail traders.

The supply of the original ERC-20 token remains unchanged, and the canonical version deployed under the Wormhole NTT standard guarantees direct integration with key platforms in the Solana ecosystem: the Jupiter aggregator, the Raydium DEX, Phantom wallets, and the Kamino DeFi protocol.

The PEPE Precedent

Two weeks earlier, on September 18, Sunrise had launched the canonical bridge for PEPE on Solana with significant results: in the first 48 hours, the token rose between 5% and 8%, breaking out of the 0.0000036–0.0000038 range. A subsequent short squeeze liquidated more than $2 million in short positions, and PEPE reached between 0.0000051 and 0.0000054 around September 21 and 22, accumulating up to 40% in gains since the start of that month and recovering a market capitalization above $2 billion. Despite October’s correction, the token remains above its pre-listing levels.

The arrival of tokens with massive communities does, however, generate a redistribution of volume on Solana that can harm native projects. BONK is one example: its volume dropped after being delisted from several Asian exchanges during that same period.

On the other hand, Shiba Inu developers issued a warning about the proliferation of fake pools on Solana’s decentralized exchanges, noting that the only verified address for the canonical contract is shib5gSoVKPjwkXrxRk7SbQFzb2R9rQB3TgQWYX4RwW.
