The announcement of this initiative comes after Tether deployed USDT on the TON blockchain through the Telegram Wallet last April. Since then, millions of USDT transactions have taken place within the network, marking a key advancement in the growth and expansion of the stablecoin.

The USDT integration plan focuses on establishing partnerships with local payment providers in Africa, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. This will enable users in these regions to access and use USDT quickly and easily, thereby strengthening accessibility and widespread adoption.
Tether and TON Drive Adoption of USDT as a Global Currency
To carry out this initiative, a team comprising 13 business developers from Tether and the entire business development team of the TON Foundation are working diligently together. Their goal is to facilitate seamless integration of USDT on the TON blockchain with local partners and communities worldwide.
Several successful integrations have been made with regional payment gateways in different parts of the world. However, expansion is expected in the coming weeks and months, including collaboration with fiat on/off ramps and global and local exchanges.
In addition to facilitating universal access to USDT, its usage in various use cases, such as payments for goods and services, will also be promoted. The strategic collaboration is expected to further drive the growth and adoption of both platforms worldwide.
