Major Binance Announcement Could Impact Cardano (ADA) and Multiple Altcoins

Binance announces the removal of the ADA/BNB spot trading pair and other altcoins on June 12.

During Tuesday’s session, it was revealed that Binance will eliminate seven spot trading pairs on June 12. Among those affected, the ADA/BNB pair stands out, along with other combinations such as DUSK/BTC, EGLD/ETH, ENSO/BNB, LSK/USDC, NIGHT/BNB, and S/BNB. The decision responds to their periodic liquidity and market volume reviews.

With this decision, Cardano is not entirely excluded from the platform, so the impact on its price was minimal, trading near $0.17. However, the announcement comes amid a complex context for ADA, whose value has accumulated a drop of nearly 40% over the past month due to the general correction in the sector and recent statements by its founder, Charles Hoskinson.

Unlike complete token delistings that usually cause prices to plummet severely, users can still trade the base and quote assets through other pairs available on Binance Spot. The next step for investors will be to restructure their trading strategies before the deadline to avoid disruptions in their automated operations.
