The initiative gains significant traction by marking a crucial transition from simple proof-of-concepts toward actual corporate settlement on blockchain rails. During the pilot, Hyundai Motor America transferred corporate funds in USDT to Hyundai Motor México via Avalanche, completing the full settlement and fiat conversion process in just seven minutes, compared to the standard three to four hours typical of traditional banking channels.
It remains to be validated whether the technical architecture can support the demanding treasury operating volumes of the automotive conglomerate. As of now, there is no set date for global commercial deployment, but the initiative establishes a key precedent for institutional adoption of decentralized finance.
