Bullish, the crypto platform and parent company of CoinDesk, extended a $100 million credit line to USD.AI to finance loans backed by graphics processing units (GPUs) and other high-performance computing assets intended for artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The agreement will channel onchain capital toward a sector that demands intensive investment. USD.AI is a stablecoin protocol designed to connect AI infrastructure financing with on-chain liquidity. Currently, the protocol has crypto assets locked for more than $225 million.
“Computing is becoming a credit market in its own right,” stated David Choi, CEO of Permian Labs, the developer company behind USD.AI. According to Choi, Bullish’s credit line will allow them to “finance more of the AI deployment while creating deeper and more transparent markets for compute-backed credit.”
The operation will capitalize on the enormous private credit demand for AI infrastructure and the efforts to tokenize real-world assets to access cryptocurrency liquidity. Bullish also plans to list the sUSDai token across multiple trading pairs, generating a secondary market for exposure to GPU-backed debt.
