TL;DR

  • Binance has listed 227 new futures pairs in 2026, putting it eight short of the 235 additions recorded across all of 2025.
  • About 70% of this year’s new futures listings track stocks, ETFs, commodities or foreign exchange, showing a pronounced shift toward traditional-market exposure across the platform.
  • Recent additions include perpetuals linked to EIDO, EQT, STM and ABBV, while Binance continues removing selected spot pairs through separate periodic market reviews.

Binance has listed 227 new futures pairs so far in 2026, placing the exchange close to its 2025 total of 235 with roughly two months left in the year. According to market analyst Maartunn, about 70% of this year’s additions are tied to stocks, ETFs, commodities and foreign exchange rather than cryptocurrencies. The data shows Binance’s futures expansion is increasingly centered on traditional-market exposure, extending the exchange’s broader TradFi product stack across multiple asset formats.

TradFi Assets Drive Binance’s Futures Expansion

The 227 figure represents new futures pairs added throughout 2026, not 227 contracts introduced in a single listing event. It leaves Binance only eight additions short of the 235 new pairs recorded during all of 2025. The pace suggests the exchange has maintained an aggressive derivatives-listing schedule even as crypto market interest has cooled. The composition is more notable than the headline count because traditional assets now represent the majority of additions, reinforcing Binance’s recent expansion of TradFi perpetual contracts.

Recent additions illustrate that shift. Binance introduced four TradFi perpetual contracts linked to the iShares MSCI Indonesia ETF, EQT Corporation, STMicroelectronics and AbbVie. These instruments extend futures exposure beyond crypto-native tokens toward equities and ETFs, alongside commodities and FX represented elsewhere in the year’s listings. The mix is turning Binance Futures into a broader cross-asset derivatives venue rather than a market focused exclusively on digital assets. That direction also fits growing interest in 24/7 cross-market trading and arbitrage.

Expansion has not meant keeping every existing market. Binance is also preparing to remove 12 spot trading pairs on October 30 after its periodic reviews, including AAVE/BTC, ATOM/BTC, DASH/BTC, ETC/BTC and XAUT/BTC among others. The exchange is expanding its futures catalog while simultaneously pruning selected spot markets, showing that listing growth and delistings can occur in parallel across different products rather than signaling one uniform direction for the platform.

The latest tally highlights how quickly traditional assets have moved into crypto-native derivatives infrastructure. With approximately seven in ten new Binance futures listings this year linked to stocks, ETFs, commodities or FX, the exchange’s 2026 expansion is primarily cross-asset rather than crypto-only. The 227-pair milestone therefore reflects a change in product composition as much as simple numerical growth, consistent with the wider development of RWA perpetual markets across digital-asset trading venues globally.
