BNB Chain has reached a major milestone in the growing market for tokenized financial assets, becoming the first blockchain network to surpass $1 billion in tokenized stocks and ETFs. The achievement comes during a period of rapid expansion for the sector, which has seen strong growth throughout the year. Data from Token Terminal shows the market capitalization of tokenized stocks and ETFs increased to $3.35 billion in September, up from $2.87 billion in August. The latest figures highlight how the chain has gained ground in a market that was previously dominated by other blockchain ecosystems.
BNB Chain Takes the Lead in a Growing Market
At the time of publication, BNB Chain held $1.1 billion in tokenized stocks and ETFs, representing roughly 30% of the total $3.7 billion market. This placed the network ahead of Ethereum, which accounted for $828 million or 22%, and Solana, which held $738 million or 20%. The milestone reflects a notable shift in market leadership. Earlier in the year, BNB Chain represented just 13% of the tokenized stocks and ETFs sector.
Since then, its share has expanded significantly as adoption accelerated and more investors gained access to tokenized financial products through the network. The tokenized stocks and ETFs market itself has experienced remarkable growth. According to Token Terminal data, the sector has increased more than fivefold from $719 million in January, underscoring rising interest in bringing traditional financial assets onto blockchain networks.

Network Dominates Holder Activity
Beyond market capitalization, BNB Chain also leads in user participation. Binance Research reported that the network is home to approximately 1.8 million addresses holding tokenized stocks, accounting for 45% of the total across the sector. The strong user base has helped BNB Chain establish a leading position as tokenized investment products gain traction. Products available on the network include Binance bStocks and Ondo Global Markets tokenized securities, contributing to the ecosystem’s expanding footprint.
Market Share Shift Highlights Rapid Growth
The latest data illustrates how quickly the competitive landscape has changed. In January, Ethereum controlled about 48% of the tokenized stocks and ETFs market, followed by Solana at 31%, with BNB Chain holding a much smaller share. BNB Chain leads the sector in both value and participation.
With BNB Chain accounting for the largest share of market capitalization and holder addresses, the network has emerged as a central hub for tokenized stocks and ETFs. The rise of BNB Chain also reflects broader growth across the sector, which continues to attract increasing activity. As adoption expands, BNB Chain remains at the forefront of this developing market.
