TL;DR

  • Mantle joined Paxos’ Global Dollar Network and adds USDG as one of the first stablecoins natively issued on its network.
  • The GDN surpasses 150 partners, including Robinhood and Kraken, and records more than $3.5 billion in USDG in circulation under dual regulatory oversight.
  • The network’s stablecoin TVL crossed $982 million, while its real-world asset TVL grew from $22 million to $240 million in one year.

Mantle, the open financial network focused on connecting traders with institutional-grade capital market assets, announced the integration of USDG, the stablecoin issued by Paxos, as one of the first assets natively minted on its network. The move makes Mantle a Network Partner of the Global Dollar Network (GDN), which groups more than 150 partners and surpasses $3.5 billion in USDG in circulation.

Most stablecoin integrations follow a standard model: a network adds an asset, the issuer retains the economics, and the relationship ends there. Mantle’s incorporation into the GDN works differently. As a Network Participant, the network becomes part of the GDN’s reward distribution system alongside partners such as Robinhood and Kraken, participating directly in the growth generated by the token’s adoption.

USDG is one of the few regulated stablecoins that operates under dual oversight: the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the MiCA framework of the European Union. Its classification positions it among the largest regulated dollar-pegged stablecoins in the market.

USDG Will Be the Institutional Backbone of Mantle

The integration will strengthen the network’s institutional asset portfolio, which already includes AUSD from Agora, USDe from Ethena, USDY from Ondo, and USDT0 from Tether. The network’s stablecoin TVL surpassed $982 million, while the real-world asset (RWA) TVL scaled from approximately $22 million to $240 million over the past year. The ecosystem now features more than 700 tokenized assets, including equities, ETFs, commodities, Treasury bonds, and asset-backed credit.

What is Mantle Network?

Emily Bao, Key Advisor at Mantle and Head of Spot at Bybit, stated that joining the GDN positions the network within a more active economic system and that USDG becomes a settlement asset that developers and partners can rely on. For his part, Walter Hessert, Head of Strategy at Paxos, noted that the native issuance of USDG places the regulated dollar at the center of the ecosystem and that the partnership allows Mantle to participate in the growth it helps generate.
