TL;DR
- ETF Surge: Bitcoin ETF inflows hit $1.92 billion as Bitcoin rallied more than 20% and IBIT led with strong daily gains.
- XRP Momentum: XRP funds reached a record $1.55 billion in cumulative inflows, with Friday marking their strongest day since May.
- Price Action: XRP jumped 70% before a sharp correction, stabilizing near $1.50 as traders watch the $1.65 to $1.70 resistance zone.
Bitcoin ETF inflows roared back last week, delivering their strongest performance in nearly ten months as investors poured fresh capital into the market. The surge aligned with Bitcoin’s sharp rebound, which saw the asset jump more than 20% and briefly push past $79,000 after starting the week near $63,000. The renewed appetite for exposure helped Bitcoin ETF products post $1.92 billion in weekly inflows, a level not seen since October 2025.
Weekly ETF Momentum Reignites Market Confidence
The latest wave of demand arrived despite Bitcoin ETF products still sitting on $2.91 billion in net outflows for 2026. June marked the toughest stretch with $4.51 billion in withdrawals, followed by $2.43 billion in May. August, however, has flipped the narrative, now showing $2.38 billion in net inflows through Friday and shaping up to be the strongest month of the year.
Analysts noted that Bitcoin ETF inflows mirrored the last major wave in October 2025, when $3.42 billion entered the market shortly before the Oct. 10 crash that erased roughly $19 billion in leveraged positions. Even so, last week’s momentum stood out thanks to BlackRock’s IBIT, which attracted $1.33 billion across five consecutive sessions. IBIT’s daily flows climbed from $160.2 million on Monday to $503 million on Thursday before easing to $239.3 million on Friday. Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas highlighted the pattern as a bullish signal, pointing to the consistency of demand.

XRP Funds Hit Record Highs as Price Volatility Intensifies
XRP funds also saw renewed interest. Investors returned on August 18 with $5.81 million in fresh inflows, the strongest daily figure of the month at that point. Activity accelerated through the week, culminating in $18.38 million on Friday, the best single-day performance since May 14. Total cumulative inflows reached a new all-time high of $1.55 billion.
Bitwise’s XRP product led the category with $542.69 million, followed by Canary Capital’s XRPC at $468.12 million and Franklin’s XRPZ at $434.16 million. XRP’s price action mirrored the inflow surge, jumping 70% in under 72 hours after defending the $1.00 support level. The token hit $1.70 before sellers forced a sharp pullback to $1.42, though buyers quickly helped it recover near $1.50. Analysts say reclaiming the $1.65 to $1.70 zone remains essential for a decisive trend shift.
