Binance became the first crypto company to partner with STOP THE TRAFFIK, a global non-governmental organization dedicated to preventing human trafficking and modern slavery. The exchange strengthens its commitment by joining an initiative aimed at cutting financial flows linked to human exploitation.

The alliance will combine Binance’s blockchain analysis expertise with STOP THE TRAFFIK’s operational intelligence to detect and block illicit fund movements. According to Nasdaq’s 2026 Global Financial Crime Report, human trafficking generated approximately $528.5 billion in illicit profits during 2025, recording a growth of 23.5% between 2023 and 2025. More than 49.6 million people currently live in conditions of modern slavery.

Noah Perlman, Chief Compliance Officer at Binance, noted that the collaboration will strengthen the internal understanding of these threats and improve the exchange’s capacity to protect vulnerable communities. For his part, Nick Dale, Director of Intelligence and Prevention at STOP THE TRAFFIK, highlighted that traffickers are increasingly turning to cryptocurrencies to evade potential investigations, making this partnership critical.

The collaboration will also include training sessions and exchanges on risk indicators. To date, Binance has responded to more than 313,000 requests from law enforcement agencies around the world, and funds recovered or frozen with its assistance exceed $1 billion.
