OKX integrated Chainlink Data Streams into the mainnet of X Layer, its ZK L2, with the goal of enabling AI-powered DeFi applications and real-world asset protocols.

The integration allows developers to access high-frequency market data in real time, rather than receiving it at scheduled intervals. Chainlink Data Streams operates as a low-latency, pull-model oracle solution, where applications query the exact price at the precise moment they need it — making it especially well-suited for derivatives, automated trading strategies, and AI agents that act autonomously.

The integration makes three categories of data available to developers on X Layer: U.S. stock quotes such as TSLA, NVDA, and AAPL, available five days a week; tokenized treasury prices for collateral management and yield products; and commodity data such as gold and silver. This enables the construction of financial applications that reference real asset prices directly on-chain, without relying on external data pipelines that introduce latency or additional trust assumptions.
