American Bitcoin announced the purchase of 11,298 additional ASIC miners, which will add approximately 3.05 exahashes per second to its operational capacity at an efficiency of around 13.5 J/TH.
With this addition, the company’s total owned fleet will reach 89,242 units, representing approximately 28.1 EH/s at an average efficiency of 16 J/TH, a 12% increase over its previous capacity.
The equipment will be delivered and deployed during March 2026 at the Drumheller site, in the Canadian province of Alberta. Once installed, the company’s operational fleet will consist of 58,999 active miners at approximately 25 EH/s with an efficiency of 14.1 J/TH.
American Bitcoin aims to accumulate bitcoin below market price. In the fourth quarter of 2025, the firm mined at a cost 53% lower than the spot price. By year-end, the firm reported revenues of $185.2 million and a net loss of $153.2 million, driven primarily by an unrealized loss of $227.1 million on its bitcoin holdings under fair value accounting standards. The company closed 2025 with 5,401 BTC on its balance sheet.
