TL;DR

  • Ripple will place XRP branding permanently on Denny Crum Court during every Louisville men’s and women’s home basketball game.
  • The multi-year partnership also includes courtside, digital, social and radio exposure across Louisville Athletics.
  • Ripple will support financial and technology education covering traditional finance and digital assets for student-athletes and the campus community.

Ripple is putting XRP in front of college basketball audiences through a new multi-year partnership with Louisville Athletics, bringing the cryptocurrency’s branding to both the men’s and women’s programs. The deal begins this season and expands Ripple’s push into U.S. college sports.

XRP Joins Louisville’s Basketball Court

The XRP logo will become a permanent fixture on Denny Crum Court during every Louisville home game, while additional branding will appear on TV-visible courtside signs and throughout the KFC Yum! Center. Ripple will also receive exposure across Louisville Athletics’ digital and social channels, as well as radio broadcasts for both basketball teams.

The placement gives XRP access to a major collegiate sports venue. Louisville describes the KFC Yum! Center as a roughly 22,000-seat arena, giving the partnership a substantial in-person audience before television and digital reach are counted.

Importantly, the XRP branding will not replace the tribute to Hall of Fame coach Denny Crum. His insignia remains inside the three-point arc, allowing Louisville to add the cryptocurrency brand without removing a central piece of the court’s identity.

Ripple is also tying the sponsorship to financial and technology education. The company will support financial and technology education for Louisville student-athletes and the campus community, covering traditional finance and digital assets.

Ripple Expands Its College Sports Strategy

Louisville is the third U.S. college athletics partnership Ripple has announced since July, following deals with Kansas Athletics and Florida Athletics. Kansas placed XRP patches across its athletic uniforms, while Florida added XRP branding to the football field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Both agreements also included financial and technology education commitments.

That pattern suggests Ripple is using sports sponsorships for more than logo visibility. College athletics offers repeated exposure to large fan bases, while educational programs give the company an avenue to explain digital assets and financial technology beyond game-day advertising.

For XRP, the Louisville deal does not itself create new utility, increase XRP Ledger activity or demonstrate token adoption among fans. Its value is primarily commercial and educational at this stage. Participation data, course details and audience metrics would provide a clearer picture of the partnership’s reach.
