Uniswap launched four updates to its applications that improve DeFi accessibility for both new and experienced users. The changes include creating a wallet directly from the web app, portfolio tracking with profit and loss metrics, a unified token view across multiple networks and crosschain swaps in a single action.

The integrated wallet allows users to create an account in seconds via FaceID, TouchID or a passkey, with no additional steps. The infrastructure is built on Privy, a distributed signing system with cryptographically verifiable environments. Uniswap Labs clarified that it has no access to users’ keys or assets, and that the seed phrase can be exported from settings at any time.

On the portfolio side, the platform incorporated P&L metrics —realized, unrealized and total return— available on the web app, the wallet and the extension. Tokens held by the user across different networks are now grouped in a single row with a combined balance.

For crosschain swaps, Uniswap eliminated the need to use a separate bridge. This functionality operates on Across and the DEX protocol, with support for Ethereum, Unichain, Arbitrum One, Base, Optimism, World Chain, zkSync, Zora, Linea, Soneium and MegaETH.
