The Stellar blockchain network has deployed Chainlink oracle infrastructure on its mainnet through the Chainlink Scale program. The Stellar Development Foundation confirmed it will cover all operational costs to connect more than $3.54 billion in tokenized RWAs—which previously sat largely idle on its network—to decentralized markets.
This technical integration breaks the isolation that previously affected Soroban smart contracts on Stellar. Until now, tokenized funds from giants such as Franklin Templeton, Treasury bonds from Ondo Finance, and interbank swaps from Amundi lacked real-time valuation feeds required for use as collateral across DeFi protocols. Powered by low-latency feeds, Stellar now enables automated liquidations and RWA-backed lending, competing directly with Ethereum’s dominance.
Backed by institutional-grade oracles, the ecosystem aims to convert passive reserves into active liquidity for structured products and futures markets. The next step for Stellar developers will be the imminent rollout of lending protocols and derivatives backed by tokenized Treasury bills and equities.
