  • Pharos Network announced an Agent Native upgrade at Korea Blockchain Week to integrate AI agents as onchain economic actors.
  • The rollout includes the Pharos Port Agent Widget, the ai.pharos.xyz portal, and a collaboration with Anvita Flow, with deployment scheduled throughout Q4.
  • The roadmap extends the initiative through 2028, when the network aims to support end-to-end Agent Native workflows.

Pharos Network announced a coordinated protocol upgrade called Agent Native, unveiled on the main stage at Korea Blockchain Week.

The initiative combines sponsored transactions on the Testnet with new experiences powered by artificial intelligence, targeting both users and developers. The rollout has already begun and will continue throughout the quarter.

The team’s core proposal is that AI agents should move beyond answering queries and begin to operate as native economic actors within the chain. In concrete terms, Pharos Network seeks to enable these agents to hold assets, invoke tools, coordinate with other agents, and fund their own actions, all within the framework the company calls its RealFi mission: bringing real-world value to the blockchain.

AI Agents as Native Actors on Pharos Network

One of the central mechanisms introduced in this upgrade is Sponsored Transactions, a system that separates the party initiating a transaction from the one paying its gas fees. This allows applications or sponsors to cover operational costs without altering the identity of the original sender.

Wish Wu, co-founder and CEO of Pharos Network, explained that the goal is not to add an AI feature at the application layer, but to equip agents with accounts, authorization, and payment capabilities so they can operate autonomously. Wu also noted that the brand refresh accompanies this structural shift and reflects what the network has been building since its inception.

Roadmap Toward the Agentic Economy

For users, the Pharos Port Agent Widget, initially launching with Harbor, allows them to query positions in real-world assets, vault maturities, and redemption windows using natural language. The agent interprets the request and prepares the corresponding action autonomously, while the user retains control over final execution.

For developers, the ai.pharos.xyz platform brings together the Pharos Chain MCP, technical documentation, and the official SkillEngine in a single hub. Additionally, the collaboration with Anvita Flow extends these same capabilities to local AI environments.

The Pharos Network roadmap projects that in Q4 2026 Proof-of-Stake staking will begin and gas sponsorship will enter Testnet. Throughout 2027, the progressive deployment of Agent Accounts and associated transaction interfaces is planned. By 2028, the network aims to sustain end-to-end Agent Native workflows integrated into a unified stack.
