Ondo Finance brought on John Hoffman as managing director and head of product portfolios, with the goal of expanding the company’s offering beyond individual tokenized assets by providing managed investment portfolios built on blockchain infrastructure.
Hoffman joins after leading distribution and partnerships at Grayscale Investments and, prior to that, spending nearly two decades at Invesco, an asset manager overseeing approximately $2.5 trillion in assets, where he headed the ETF business and indexed strategies across the Americas.

In his new role, he will focus on building and distributing tokenized portfolios, including investment baskets developed with asset managers and strategies built on Ondo’s current products.
Beyond Individual Assets
This move clearly signals the company’s intention to go beyond the tokenization of individual assets and advance toward managed onchain investment products. “Our next step is to build the world’s most trusted platform for intelligently managed onchain investment portfolios,” Hoffman told CoinDesk. He also drew a parallel with the ETF industry: “It took 30 years to go from niche product to default vehicle. Onchain finance is going to compress that timeline dramatically.”
The tokenized asset market nearly tripled in size over one year, according to data from RWA.xyz. Citi projects it could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030, while a joint report from Boston Consulting Group and Ripple estimated growth to $18.9 trillion by 2033. BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, Fidelity and JPMorgan have already launched or tested their own tokenized products.
Ondo Reaches $1 Billion in Global Markets
