TL;DR:

  • KuCoin Web3 Wallet integrated the 1inch API to offer gasless swaps with MEV protection on tokenized real-world assets.
  • The integration improves access to deep liquidity and more competitive pricing within a self-custody wallet that requires no native gas tokens.
  • The exchange recently integrated with Ondo Global Markets.

KuCoin Web3 Wallet announced its integration with the 1inch Swap API, an addition designed to strengthen the swap execution layer within its self-custody wallet. The integration will enable transactions to be executed without requiring native gas tokens, granting access to aggregated liquidity from multiple sources and built-in MEV protection, which will reduce the front-running and sandwich attacks that commonly affect users on public networks.

KuCoin Targets On-chain Market Frictions

Just a few weeks ago, KuCoin Web3 Wallet completed its integration with Ondo Global Markets, through which it incorporated hundreds of tokenized real-world assets into its self-custody ecosystem. With the addition of the 1inch API, the platform seeks to address the most common frictions in the on-chain market: liquidity fragmentation, price slippage, and reliance on native tokens to cover transaction costs.

Gas Meng, head of operations at KuCoin Web3 Wallet, noted that the integration enables a smoother swap experience backed by better pricing, greater liquidity depth, and gasless execution, without sacrificing security standards or user trust. For his part, Sergej Kunz, co-founder of 1inch, highlighted that combining both platforms’ infrastructure and liquidity will allow users to trade RWA assets with no gas cost and no MEV risk exposure.

A Unified Gateway for Crypto and TradFi Assets

According to the official announcement, KuCoin Web3 Wallet plans to continue expanding its trading infrastructure as part of a roadmap aimed at becoming a single access point for trading cryptocurrencies and tokenized traditional financial assets. The incorporation of institutional-grade execution tools within a self-custody wallet is crucial for the industry, narrowing the gap between natively crypto markets and conventional financial instruments.
