Kraken strengthens its institutional profile in Europe through an integration with Trever, the digital asset operating system used by banks and brokers across the region to manage the full lifecycle of these assets within a single environment. Institutional clients of Trever can now access Prime services —the exchange’s prime brokerage offering— without leaving their usual operational workflows.
The integration allows banks and brokers to execute orders, settle positions in qualified custody and record transactions through Kraken Prime within the same system they already use for their digital asset operations. The platform provides access to more than 20 liquidity venues internationally, covering over 90% of market liquidity, with smart order routing and algorithmic execution for block trades.
Gurpreet Oberoi, head of the exchange’s institutional division, noted that the goal is to give European institutions an accessibility tool with execution quality and qualified custody without the operational burden of coordinating multiple counterparties. Hans-Juergen Griesbacher, CEO and co-founder of Trever, highlighted that the integration responds to demand for MiCA-compliant infrastructure that does not require assembling fragmented solutions.
