Grayscale Investments launched a new series of model portfolios aimed at financial advisors, granting XRP a weighting of 26.11% within its Digital Assets Next Gen strategy. The asset manager designed this portfolio entirely excluding Bitcoin to focus on alternative assets, positioning Ripple’s token as the second-largest holding in the basket, trailing only Ethereum (ETH), which accounts for 42.34%.

Within the institutional landscape, XRP receives a significant boost by being integrated into turnkey structures that simplify the process for wealth managers to replicate diversified portfolios for traditional clients through exchange-traded funds (ETFs). While the model has accumulated positive net returns in the short term, the underlying XRP product is still trading at discounts relative to its issuance, reflecting the challenge of consolidating sustained institutional inflows following months of volatility.

Portfolio rebalancing will be executed quarterly to maintain the allocation limits per asset, while the market monitors whether advisors adopt this weighting in their direct capital deployments.
