DLive is video streaming platform that, as reported by Crypto Economy, in December of 2019, Tron announced the acquisition of DLive that was merged with BitTorrent’s live streaming service Live to form a new product. Since the acquisition, Tron has doubled down on its entertainment strategy through snapping up crypto blogging network Steemit.
The move is to promote Stay at Home campaign by rewarding people during these pressing times. The platform has #stayhomegamemore campaign for its community to encourage social distancing.
Charles Wayn, CEO of DLive, commented:
“At DLive, we want to do our part in helping stop the spread and contain the Coronavirus. Stay indoors, watch your favorite streamers on DLive, and earn rewards! Let’s have some fun and enjoy some great live-streaming content!”
Refereum already has strong ties with DLive even before its acquisition by Tron. Refereum partnered with DLive in November of last year. It is an gaming rewards platform where players can earn prizes like Refereum cryptocurrency tokens, game keys, and more.
Refereum has revolutionized video games marketing. The platform uses the blockchain to connect developers directly with the influencers, which results in lower marketing costs and greater profits for all.
Refereum CEO, Dylan Jones commented:
“During this difficult time for public health when we are practicing and encouraging social distancing, it’s our hope that through this partnership with TRON and DLive we can make time at home more interesting for millions of people by offering rewards for watching game streams.”
