TL;DR

  • Record Inflows: US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $998.9 million on Monday, marking the biggest daily inflow of 2026 and the strongest performance since October 2025.
  • Fund Leaders: BlackRock’s IBIT led with about $381 million, followed by ARKB at $289 million and Fidelity’s FBTC at roughly $239 million.
  • Market Momentum: Bitcoin rose above $85,000, monthly ETF inflows reached $1.31 billion, and analysts highlighted technical signals supporting a potential new bull market.

Bitcoin ETFs posted their strongest daily performance of 2026 on Monday, attracting $998.9 million in net inflows and signaling renewed institutional interest in the digital asset market. The figure surpassed the previous yearly high of $844 million recorded on Jan. 14 and marked the largest one-day intake since Oct. 6, 2025. The surge arrived as Bitcoin continued its recent advance, trading around $86,000 after briefly moving above $87,200 during the session.

For investors tracking fund activity, the latest move in Bitcoin ETFs stands out as one of the most significant developments of the year, especially after a period marked by policy uncertainty and broader macroeconomic concerns.

Institutional Demand Returns in Force

The latest inflow ranked among the largest daily totals since spot funds began trading in January 2024. Data showed that Bitcoin ETFs were led by BlackRock’s IBIT, which attracted roughly $381 million. ARK 21Shares’ ARKB followed with approximately $289 million, and Fidelity’s FBTC added nearly $239 million. The strong performance also extended a three-day streak of positive flows, the first such run in two weeks.

Market observers view the fresh demand for Bitcoin ETFs as a sign that institutional investors remain committed to gaining exposure to Bitcoin despite recent setbacks. Those setbacks included a failed Senate cloture vote on the Clarity Act and a Federal Reserve interest-rate increase, both of which had weighed on sentiment in the days before the inflow surge.

Monthly Totals Continue to Climb

Monthly Totals Continue to Climb

The latest session pushed month-to-date inflows for Bitcoin ETFs to $1.31 billion. That follows August’s $3.52 billion inflow, highlighting continued interest from large investors. Even so, Bitcoin ETFs remain in negative territory for the year, with cumulative net outflows of roughly $450 million to $464 million in 2026. Bitcoin itself has been a standout performer. The cryptocurrency has gained 44% this quarter and has outperformed other major assets, including gold. The combination of rising prices and increasing fund flows has helped place Bitcoin ETFs back in focus for market participants.

Bull Market Signals Gain Attention

Additional optimism emerged from market analysis pointing to improving technical conditions. According to CryptoQuant analyst Julio Moreno, Bitcoin moved above its 365-day moving average, a development he described as the final confirmation signal for a new bull market. At the same time, Bitcoin ETFs were not the only products seeing strong demand. US spot Ethereum funds recorded around $270 million in inflows, their largest daily haul of 2026. Still, the spotlight remained on Bitcoin ETFs, which delivered the biggest single-day fundraising result seen this year.
