TL;DR
- Bitcoin ETF Flows: The ETF market recorded $31 million in net inflows on Sept. 28, extending a multi-day streak of positive institutional demand.
- Fund Leaders: BlackRock’s IBIT led with $54.8 million in inflows, while Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust added $10.3 million.
- Price Action: Bitcoin repeatedly tested the $84,000 level, briefly moving above it before pulling back, showing continued resistance despite positive ETF flows.
The Bitcoin ETF market extended its winning streak on Sept. 28, recording a combined $31 million in net inflows even as Bitcoin faced another day of sharp price swings. The latest session showed investors continuing to allocate funds to exchange-traded products despite uncertainty around BTC’s ability to establish a firm move above $84,000.
Although the daily inflow total was modest compared to earlier sessions, the continued demand highlights ongoing institutional participation. For many market observers, the steady flow into ETF products remains one of the more notable developments during the recent period of volatility.
BlackRock Leads Another Positive Session
The latest Bitcoin ETF inflows were led by BlackRock’s IBIT, which attracted $54.8 million in net deposits. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust added a further $10.3 million during the session. Not all funds finished the day in positive territory. Fidelity’s FBTC recorded $10.9 million in outflows, while Grayscale’s GBTC saw $23.2 million exit the fund. The remaining major Bitcoin ETF products posted little to no meaningful activity.
Even with the smaller daily figure, the latest results continued an impressive run for the Bitcoin ETF sector. The streak began with $999 million in net inflows on Sept. 21, followed by $714.7 million on Sept. 22. Additional inflows of $346.9 million, $190.7 million, and $134.5 million were recorded over the following sessions. However, the latest Bitcoin ETF data also suggests the pace of buying has eased considerably compared with the previous week.

Bitcoin Faces Resistance at $84,000
Alongside the Bitcoin ETF inflow streak, BTC experienced a volatile trading session. The asset traded below $83,000 before recovering above $83,500 and briefly moving beyond $84,000. A pullback then pushed the price toward $82,800 before buyers returned. Another recovery lifted Bitcoin to roughly $84,100, though the move once again failed to establish a lasting breakout.
At the time of writing, BTC was trading around $84,000, representing a gain of more than 1.20%. The repeated tests of this level have turned $84,000 into a key short-term barrier. Although Bitcoin ETF demand remains positive, Bitcoin has yet to deliver a decisive move above resistance. Still, the ongoing Bitcoin ETF inflow trend suggests institutional interest remains intact despite continuing market volatility, offering support for sentiment surrounding the Bitcoin ETF market.
