Worldcoin (WLD) has fallen 6.5% over the past 24 hours and is trading at $0.5354, according to the latest data from CoinMarketCap. The token associated with Sam Altman’s digital identity project has given back some of the gains from its recent weekly rally, during which it climbed 21%.
The correction was also accompanied by a 29% decline in trading volume, which remains above $362 million. The drop in activity coincides with the price retreat following several days of recovery.
Despite the losses, WLD has retained some of its weekly gains. Traders are closely watching technical levels that could determine whether the correction continues or the token manages to stabilize.
Worldcoin Approaches $0.50 Support
Technical analysis places WLD’s first major resistance around $0.596, followed by another level near $0.624.
A sustained recovery above $0.60 could open the way for a move toward the $0.62 to $0.66 range, particularly if trading activity increases.
Conversely, if Worldcoin continues to weaken below $0.54, the next support level sits near $0.50.
A break below that level could push the token toward $0.45, approximately 16% below its current price.
WLD Token Unlocks Add Pressure to the Market
The token distribution schedule is another factor investors are monitoring.
According to Tokenomics.com, approximately 100.1 million WLD are scheduled for an unlock event on October 24. The reported allocation assigns 48.6% to the community, 28.3% to private investors, and 23.1% to insiders.
However, token unlocks do not necessarily trigger immediate selling. Recipients may choose to hold their tokens, and tracking platforms use different methods to classify scheduled releases.
Worldcoin also has institutional exposure through companies such as Eightco, which has previously disclosed its WLD holdings.
Future price changes will depend on actual trading activity in the market. Investors will continue monitoring the distribution schedule and demand for the token.
