The accounting document details that total backing held in the fiduciary structure stood at $176.39 million. This represents a positive margin of $660,478 above the outstanding token liabilities.
The attestation was prepared under guidelines established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), applying attestation criteria for fiat-pegged stablecoin reporting.
According to the report from Anchorage Digital Bank, both assets under custody and token circulation saw an uptick compared to balances recorded at the end of July. In that prior period, reserve assets totaled $175.90 million against 175.24 million tokens issued.
USA₮ functions as a stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., an entity operating under a federal bank charter in the United States. The asset’s development relies on a technical support and distribution agreement with Tether.
According to statements from Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, the infrastructure is designed to facilitate corporate digital payments and strengthen the operational footprint of the US dollar. Management maintains that this full-backing discipline is aimed at providing operational certainty to enterprise users.

Federal Banking Oversight and Expansion into Corporate Treasuries
The current circulating supply illustrates sustained expansion throughout 2026. In January, initial filings registered 17.50 million tokens. Comparing both data points, the attestation metrics indicate that the circulating base increased roughly tenfold over a seven-month span.
Bo Hines, CEO of Tether USA₮, stated that the August records demonstrate a solid operating foundation, with reserves consistently exceeding outstanding token liabilities. Project leadership asserts that integrating the asset into payment networks and interbank clearing systems could accelerate the adoption of digital dollars across standard commercial rails.
The stablecoin’s institutional setup relies on segregated custody to safeguard the fiat peg.
Prior attestation filings from the bank confirm that the reserve portfolio primarily holds reverse repurchase agreements collateralized by US Treasury securities alongside cash deposits.
Unlike options issued under state-level or offshore frameworks, USA₮ is subject to supervision by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) due to its origin within a federally chartered national bank. However, official disclosures caution that token holdings do not carry FDIC or SIPC insurance coverage.
Routine releases of these monthly reports will proceed with the publication of September balances, scheduled for late October 2026 across the institutional channels of Anchorage Digital and the USA₮ consortium.
