CARV announced its alignment with ERC-8004, an Ethereum standard focused on the discovery of artificial intelligence agents and trust management between applications.
The protocol defines three open registries —for identity, reputation, and validation— that allow an agent’s verified history to be readable outside the system where it was generated.
The problem it aims to solve is the following: an agent can complete hundreds of tasks within a platform, accumulate an authentic track record, and then arrive at another application as if completely unknown, because the new environment cannot read or reuse that trajectory.
The protocol’s infrastructure already produces three key inputs for building a lasting track record. The CARV ID system grants the agent a persistent identity based on ERC-7231, with more than 9 million issued.
The D.A.T.A. Framework connects that identity with authenticated behavior, both onchain and offchain. A network of more than 60,000 verifier nodes externally validates the recorded actions.
ERC-8004 does not replace any of those components: it defines the open interfaces through which that reputation and validation can become portable across applications. CARV did not design the standard nor controls its public registries, but orients its stack toward that model as the natural destination for verified history.
