Coinbase strengthened its partnership with Webull to offer cryptocurrency custody and trading services in the Canadian market, marking a new phase of its Crypto-as-a-Service platform.
The integration allows Webull Canada to operate on Coinbase’s institutional infrastructure, giving its users access to deep liquidity, secure custody and scalable functionalities within a regulatory framework. This expansion replicates the model previously applied in the United States, Brazil and Australia.
Demand for crypto services in Canada grew steadily over recent years. According to a recent survey by the Ontario Securities Commission, crypto asset ownership among the Canadian population rose from 10% in 2023 to 25% at present.
Michael Constantino, CEO of Webull Canada, noted that investors in the country demand access to a growing range of asset classes and that cryptocurrencies have become an increasingly important part of that mix.
Webull Canada Crypto Limited operates under CIRO regulation and is a member of CIPF. The partnership with the exchange was determined by its global reach, flexibility, scale and its status as a public company with a solid regulatory profile.
