Stripe said August 25 that more than 80,000 businesses and solopreneurs in Singapore now use its platform, marking 10 years since its first Asian launch. More than six in 10 Singapore-based users sell internationally, while cross-border growth is becoming the centerpiece of Stripe’s next infrastructure push across the region.
Stripe expanded Managed Payments so Asian digital businesses can sell in 195 countries while it handles tax, disputes, fraud protection and customer support. New cross-border payment methods include Samsung Pay, MoMo, GCash, Touch ’n Go, PromptPay and TrueMoney, while local payment access and automated pricing are being used to remove friction from global expansion.
Singapore businesses can already hold balances in 10 currencies and convert between them instantly. In early 2027, Stripe plans to bring the full Treasury experience to Singapore, adding direct spending and global payouts from the Dashboard, while multi-currency treasury infrastructure becomes the next operational layer for internationally active companies.
