Memecoin launchpad Pump.fun has just unveiled BOOST Mode, a default update for all newly migrated tokens. Platform co-founders Alon and Sapijiju explained that this mechanism aims to rescue over $100 million in “dead liquidity” that was previously permanently locked.

From now on, the platform automatically reinjects that capital—equivalent to 17.6 $SOL or $2,516 USDC per token—through a continuous buyback and automated burn process during the first 5 minutes post-migration. This measure increases initial liquidity by 20% and seeks to stabilize prices without altering the trading experience.
With this upgrade, Pump.fun responds to recent community backlash regarding high slippage and low market depth in its tokens. The new capital flow promises to strengthen the memecoin ecosystem’s structure and allow projects to achieve more sustainable long-term valuations.
