TL;DR:

  • Multi-asset integration: The platform incorporated direct access to over 300 Hyperliquid markets spanning crypto assets, stocks, and commodities.
  • Margins and leverage: The system operates with isolated margin, allowing deposits in USDC or SOL without bridging, offering leverage of up to 50x on the S&P 500 and 40x on Bitcoin.
  • Price impact: At the time of the announcement on October 28, 2026, the PUMP token posted a 3.0% decline in 24 hours, while HYPE fell 0.3%.

On Wednesday, October 28, Pump.fun integrated Hyperliquid’s engine to enable perpetual contracts across more than 300 cryptocurrency, stock, and commodity markets.

With this expansion, users will have the option to open long or short positions using their USDC or SOL balance directly from their native wallets, eliminating the need for external cross-chain bridges.

According to Pump.fun’s statement, the technical architecture connects to Hyperliquid’s on-chain execution engine, granting access to a catalog of over 300 financial markets. The trading setup is structured under an isolated margin model, incorporating risk management tools that allow users to place take-profit and stop-loss orders both during order configuration and throughout the position’s lifespan.

Regarding leverage, the platform’s published parameters establish a maximum of 40x for Bitcoin and 25x for Ethereum. For single stocks like Tesla and Nvidia, the ratio reaches up to 20x, while the S&P 500 index supports a maximum leverage of up to 50x. The fee schedule set by Pump.fun includes a baseline rate of 0.05% per transaction—which can be reduced to 0.04% via referral codes—applied on top of Hyperliquid’s standard protocol fees.

Operating conditions, restrictions, and market behavior

The Pump.fun team explained that the perpetual futures service excludes users located in jurisdictions where access to derivative instruments constitutes a regulatory breach or faces legal restrictions. Furthermore, the risk disclosure highlights that these leveraged contracts carry the potential for partial or total liquidation of deposited capital during adverse market price swings.

This rollout coincides chronologically with the sector-wide expansion of perpetual contracts, following similar launches by Crypto.com and OG.com for eligible US traders just a day prior.

Despite the expanded utility across both platforms, tokens linked to the protocols trended lower on the day of the announcement.

CoinGecko data shows that as of 16:30 UTC on Wednesday, October 28, the native token PUMP traded at $0.004192, marking a 3.0% decline over the past 24 hours. PUMP’s intraday range fluctuated between $0.004162 and $0.004398, with a 24-hour trading volume of approximately $100.014 million and a market capitalization of $1.930 billion based on a circulating supply of 460.628 billion tokens.

Meanwhile, the total value locked (TVL) attributed to PUMP stood at $338.643 million, accompanied by an open interest in perpetual futures of $358.35 million.

During the same window, Hyperliquid’s HYPE token traded at $80.01, representing a 0.3% drop across the 24-hour balance. Its intraday movement ranged between $79.50 and $82.35, logging a trading volume of $740.142 million and a market capitalization of $19.135 billion against a fully diluted valuation calculated at $76.052 billion.

Hyperliquid protocol metrics reflected a total value locked of $8.248 billion and an open interest of $4.286 billion across its perpetual contracts at the time of publication.

Pump.fun will continue monitoring isolated margin operations within its application alongside the automated liquidation of positions as transaction volume develops across the integrated markets.
