Credible, a payments infrastructure company that routes and underwrites transactions in stablecoins, surpassed $152 million in total volume processed on Polygon Chain, according to data published by the company itself. The figure was reached from the first quarter of 2026 and adds to a cumulative total that already exceeds $700 million since its launch.
Credible’s model replicates the function currently performed by correspondent banks —routing, risk underwriting and liquidity provision— but without the three-to-seven-day settlement times or the fee structure that characterizes that traditional infrastructure. Businesses integrate once and gain access to global payment rails in stablecoins or fiat currency in dollars, euros or pound sterling.
Credible’s volume is concentrated across five segments: stablecoin fintechs, content creator platforms, operators and brokers, cross-border B2B commerce, and gaming and sports. For all of them, Polygon Chain‘s finality —approximately five seconds per transaction with capacity of more than 5,000 payments per second— proved decisive compared to other EVM networks evaluated.
Polygon contributed the Open Money Stack as a single integration layer, meaning Credible did not need to assemble multiple providers to build its rails. The routing engine selects in real time the processor with the highest approval rate for each payment, while the AI-based scoring underwriting system weighs risk before deploying liquidity.
