Mixin expanded its gas fee subsidy program to allow cryptocurrency transfers across multiple blockchains at no net cost to the user.

The initiative was originally launched in 2025 and works as follows: users import their external Web3 wallets into the Mixin ecosystem, execute on-chain transactions by paying network fees upfront, and receive a full refund at the start of the following month. The program covers assets and networks such as BTC, ETH, and SOL, among other chains. There are no limits on the number of transactions or the amounts transferred.

Cedric Fung, co-founder of Mixin, noted that the platform’s goal has always been to make cryptocurrencies as simple and private as sending a text message, and that gas fees represented one of the biggest barriers to everyday use.

It is worth clarifying that transfers made within Mixin’s native Privacy Wallets already operated for free and instantly through its decentralized network, independently of the subsidy mechanism applied to imported Web3 wallets. The platform is built on Signal Protocol to provide end-to-end encrypted communications, integrating private payments within a messaging interface.
