The partnership between Anchorage Digital Bank and Bitso was extended to take on the institutional custody of the MXNB stablecoin (pegged to the Mexican peso) across six blockchains: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, Avalanche, and Arc. In parallel, the Latin American platform integrated the dollar-pegged stablecoins USDPT (Western Union) and USAT (Tether), both issued and under the regulated safeguard of the U.S. banking entity.

This integration consolidates a unified bank custody layer on both sides of the United States–Mexico remittance corridor, one of the cross-border payment routes with the highest global volume, where Bitso already processes 15% of the total. Multichain interoperability reduces operational costs and friction compared to traditional correspondent banking methods, providing continuous institutional liquidity to issuing companies and financial intermediaries.

The next step for the consortium aims to accelerate instant 24/7 settlement between tokenized pesos and dollars, attracting new banking and corporate players seeking to move regulated capital at on-chain scale.
