The New York Stock Exchange said in a Dec. 11 post on X that Bitcoin firm Twenty One Capital has placed a “Satoshi Nakamoto” statue by Valentina Picozzi inside the exchange, calling it a new home for the inventor of Bitcoin that sits between emerging systems and established institutions.

In its message, NYSE highlighted the placement as shared ground “from code to culture,” positioning the work as a visual marker of how blockchain born ideas are now interacting with the core of traditional capital markets. For crypto participants, the image of Satoshi’s likeness on Wall Street underscores how far the asset class has traveled from its cypherpunk origins.

Stakeholders will be watching whether this installation becomes a one-off cultural gesture or the first in a broader wave of digital asset symbolism at the Big Board, and how issuers, listed companies and investors respond to having Bitcoin’s creator represented inside such a historic venue.
