Pi Network released version 0.5.4 of Pi Node, now called Pi Desktop, with improvements in reliability, reward calculations, and access to external applications.
The update fixes community-reported issues, including problems with mining rewards, automatic updates, and block container creation. It introduces an open port verification system that ensures more reliable Node bonus calculations and prepares for the future migration of rewards. Pi Desktop now allows opening external links and provides easier access to Pi App Studio from the top navigation bar. A display issue affecting app previews in App Studio has also been resolved.
The PI token remains around $0.22, above the critical $0.20 support, though still 93% below its all-time high. Over 4.5 million tokens are expected to unlock next month, which could increase selling pressure.
