Polygon Labs and Warner Music Group (WMG) have announced the two grant recipients for the inaugural Web3 Music Accelerator program, which aims to foster innovation and creativity at the intersection of Web3 and music.
The two projects are MITH and Muus Collective, both of which are built on the Polygon network, a scalable and secure platform for decentralized applications. MITH is a fan engagement platform that leverages blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and digital collectibles to provide artists with insights and analytics on their audiences, as well as rewards and incentives for their loyal fans.
Last June, the Polygon Labs x @warnermusic Web3 Music Accelerator was announced to support the next generation of web3 developers building music projects and dApps on Polygon protocols.

Muus Collective is a fashion-themed gaming platform that combines mobile games, entertainment, and digital collectibles. Muus Collective allows users to express their style and personality through virtual fashion, and to earn rewards and collectibles for their participation.
Muus has teamed up with a next-generation retailer to launch their first fashion game in Q2 2024 and has also secured the support of pop culture icon Paris Hilton and actor and gamer Felicia Day as advisors.
MITH and Muus Collective: The Two Innovative Projects Built on Polygon
Both MITH and Muus Collective will receive support from Polygon Labs and WMG, as well as from a cohort of blockchain infrastructure developers who collaborate with projects that are building the future of the Web3 music industry. These developers will offer discounts, vouchers, and premium benefits to the grant recipients, as well as mentorship, strategic consulting, networking, and marketing.
The Web3 Music Accelerator program is part of Polygon Labs and WMG’s vision to empower artists and fans with new tools and opportunities to connect, experience, and enjoy music in the Web3 era. Web3, which refers to the decentralized and user-centric web powered by blockchain technology, offers unprecedented possibilities for the music industry, such as transparency, fair remuneration, and fan interaction.
Polygon Labs and WMG are not the only players in the Web3 music space, as other platforms and initiatives have emerged to explore the potential of blockchain and NFTs for music. For example, Napster, the pioneer of digital music, has recently hired Jon Vlassopulos, the former head of music at Roblox, and acquired Mint Songs, a Web3 music startup that allows musicians to turn their songs into NFTs.
