TL;DR
- More than 60% of XRP Ledger nodes have upgraded to xrpld 3.3.0 as operators are urged to avoid amendment-blocked status.
- fixCleanup3_3_0 has reached 68.57% consensus, leaving less than 12 percentage points before the 80% activation threshold required by XRPL.
- Version 3.3.0 also introduces amendments for atomic batches, confidential transfers, dynamic token properties, delegated permissions and sponsored reserves and transactions, expanding XRPL functionality while validators continue voting network-wide.
XRP Ledger node operators are being urged to upgrade to xrpld version 3.3.0 as a key amendment moves closer to the network’s required activation threshold. More than 60% of XRPL nodes have already adopted the release, which introduces multiple amendments alongside bug fixes and build improvements. The immediate concern is that outdated servers could become amendment-blocked once new rules activate, cutting them off from normal network participation. That means affected nodes would no longer reliably validate ledgers, process transactions, join consensus or vote on future amendments if they lack the necessary source code.

fixCleanup3_3_0 puts node readiness in focus
The urgency is centered on fixCleanup3_3_0, an amendment bundling fixes across Single Asset Vaults, the Lending Protocol, Automated Market Makers, the permissioned decentralized exchange, Checks and pseudo-accounts. It has reached 68.57% consensus, leaving less than 12 percentage points before the 80% threshold required for activation. The amendment is close enough to make node preparedness an operational issue rather than a distant software recommendation. Once enabled, servers that have not upgraded to software containing the amendment could stop understanding the network’s rules and automatically protect themselves by entering amendment-blocked status.

Version 3.3.0 also brings a broader package of proposed functionality. The amendments up for voting include BatchV1_1 for atomic batch transactions, ConfidentialTransfer for privacy-preserving Multi-Purpose Token transfers, DynamicMPT for token properties that issuers can make permanently immutable, PermissionDelegationV1_1 for granular account permissions and Sponsor for reserve and transaction sponsoring. The release therefore combines immediate maintenance fixes with features that could materially expand how XRPL handles transactions, privacy, permissions and token management. All of these amendments still depend on validator support, meaning adoption of the software and approval of specific network rules remain separate parts of the upgrade process.
The fixes inside fixCleanup3_3_0 are technical but meaningful for market infrastructure. They include removing hybrid offers from open order books when an account loses access to a permissioned domain, incorporating Automated Market Maker liquidity into quality estimates for permissioned DEX order books, and improving precision and rounding for Single Asset Vaults and lending. The broader message for operators is straightforward: upgrading early reduces the risk of being sidelined when consensus crosses the activation line. With more than 60% of nodes already on version 3.3.0 and fixCleanup3_3_0 at 68.57%, the network is moving steadily toward that decision point for all participants.
