Web3 ecosystem startups raised over $109 million in funding during the week of February 16–23, according to data published by CoinMarketCap Research.
The largest round went to Novig, which closed a $75 million Series B focused on sports prediction markets, backed by Pantera Capital. That single round concentrated the majority of capital that entered the Web3 market, revealing a markedly asymmetric distribution across rounds.
Meanwhile, Kresus raised $13 million in a strategic round for its mobile wallet platform, with participation from Hanwha Investment & Securities. NEWITY, in turn, received $11 million to be allocated to its crypto credit services, backed by CMT Digital.
Seed capital also showed activity in the artificial intelligence and decentralized finance sectors. Unicity raised $3 million for AI agent development with support from Blockchain Ventures, while PlutonAI and PRED closed rounds of $2.7 million and $2.5 million respectively. At the pre-seed stage, Rizon, Fireplace and Endl each raised between $1.5 and $2 million, with a focus on payment infrastructure and fintech applications built on crypto rails.
This week’s figures confirm a trend already visible in the venture capital market: funds are flowing selectively toward prediction markets, Web3 projects, AI-driven infrastructure and payment platforms, rather than toward general-scope projects or those without a defined thematic thesis.
