USDT0 has arrived on the Stellar network. The integration makes Stellar the new home of the protocol that brings USDT from Tether to multiple networks simultaneously, built on LayerZero’s OFT interoperability standard, which maintains a unified supply backed 1:1 by USDT without the need for wrapped tokens or isolated liquidity pools.
The addition is not simply an asset listing, but a structural upgrade for a blockchain with over a decade of history in international payments and cross-border finance. From now on, users on the network can access the same global liquidity pool shared with all ecosystems connected to LayerZero, which represents a market capitalization exceeding $180 billion.
The integration carries particular weight in the emerging markets of Latin America, Africa and Asia-Pacific, regions where USDT already functions as a primary settlement asset and where Stellar has spent years developing payment infrastructure with fees below one cent and transaction finality in five seconds.
USDT0 is now available on platforms such as Kraken, Bitget, Fireblocks, SushiSwap and Lobstr, among others, with more integrations planned for the coming months.
