Unstoppable Wallet announced native support for $RUNE, $TCY, $RUJI and other secured assets from THORChain in its Android version.
During an episode of their podcast on August 22, IBeK, founder of Horizontal Systems and lead developer of Unstoppable, explained that the integration required between two and three weeks of concentrated work plus an additional week of testing. The iOS version was still pending approval on the App Store at the time the recording was published.
The integration goes beyond simple routing: Unstoppable users can hold and manage those assets directly within the application. IBeK noted that the mobile libraries used are open source, which would allow another team to complete an equivalent integration in a matter of days, building on the work already done. The team was planning a public invitation for other developers to adopt those libraries.
Additionally, Unstoppable confirmed that a stablecoin-focused wallet is already undergoing internal testing. The product targets users who operate with USDT without familiarizing themselves with technical concepts such as gas or seed phrases, preserving self-custody while abstracting much of the on-chain complexity.
THORChain appears as a possible funding channel and, eventually, as a provider of routes between stablecoins without protocol-native fees, although that integration does not yet have confirmed dates.
