THORWallet integrated native support for Monero into its application, allowing users to send and receive XMR directly from the wallet.
The integration includes the ability to create and manage multiple Monero accounts derived from the same seed, granting greater flexibility in managing activity on the network. In addition, users can configure their own Monero node within the application or use the default node provided by THORWallet to communicate with the blockchain.
All data —keys, balances, and transaction history— are computed and stored locally on the user’s device, never leaving it.
The next step is support for native cross-chain swaps with XMR. The integration of Monero into THORChain is currently in its testing and audit phase.
Once it goes into production, users will be able to swap XMR for assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, SOL, and ZEC through decentralized infrastructure, without relying on centralized exchanges or custodial intermediaries, maintaining full control of their funds at all times.
