Tether, the issuing company of the USDT stablecoin, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) to jointly develop blockchain infrastructure and accelerate asset tokenization in the region. Leaders from both entities reported that the strategic plan will focus on transforming global digital trade through the use of smart contracts applied to commodities, the implementation of payments under the P2P network, and advanced Web3 education programs for businesses.

This collaboration represents a fundamental milestone for traditional financial markets, given that the DMCC concentrates more than 26,000 global corporations and contributes 15% of foreign direct investment in Dubai. By integrating Tether’s technology and liquidity within this free zone, the doors open for the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), optimizing cross-border settlement and the efficiency of international trade flows.

The next key step will consist of the deployment of pilot programs dedicated to evaluating the adoption of USDT in daily commercial transactions and commodities. Sector companies must closely monitor the execution of these regulatory frameworks, which consolidate the United Arab Emirates as the most competitive crypto hub in today’s financial landscape.
