Corporate giants Tesla, Amazon, and Netflix have rejected cryptocurrency exchange OKX’s proposal to issue tokenized versions of their shares. 49 out of the 62 initially selected companies have rejected the listing of their securities on the OKXICE platform, with seven additional objections from firms outside the initial list. In total, five of the so-called “Magnificent Seven”—including Microsoft, Alphabet, and Nvidia—have brought the initiative to a dead halt.
🚨NEW: Six more issuers have objected to having their shares tokenized through the @okx/@ICE_Markets TSV:

The traditional corporate sector’s caution is evident through consistent institutional pushback against real-world assets (RWAs) replicating equities without direct authorization. The proposal was being developed under the SEC’s temporary exemption framework, which granted a formal 30-day objection window following the October notice. Only around 13 firms, including Apple, Coinbase, and Robinhood, have not filed a formal objection so far.
With no confirmed launch date, OKX will need to redefine the final catalog of tokenized assets it can legally bring to market.
