Tether said that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nairobi Securities Exchange to explore digital-asset education, tokenization and market infrastructure. The partnership puts investor training at the front of the initiative, with proposed workshops and structured programs aimed at NSE-listed brokers and retail investor groups.
The two organizations also plan to examine blockchain-based infrastructure for tokenized securities, instant settlement and fractional access through Tether’s Hadron platform. Their work will include secured onboarding flows adapted to Kenya’s regulatory environment, placing AML, KYC and market accessibility inside the same modernization effort.
Tether and the NSE will further assess real-world asset tokenization and the potential use of USDâ‚® as a settlement layer where permitted. Because the agreement remains exploratory, the next test is whether the parties move from education and design work into live pilots, with regulatory alignment determining how far the proposed infrastructure can progress.
