OKX introduced in the United States its virtual debit card backed by stablecoins. The card was developed in partnership with WebBank and will operate under the Mastercard global network. Eligible customers will be able to make direct purchases using their USDT, USDC, and USDG balances without incurring transaction fees or foreign exchange markups.
This strategic rollout aims to break down traditional friction points in retail spending with digital assets, accelerating the integration of stablecoins into the everyday economy. In addition to settling automatic payments, the product offers a yield of up to 10% APY on eligible balances and tiered cashbacks in USDG based on spending volume.
With this initiative, OKX strengthens its presence within the U.S. regulatory framework and directly competes in the fintech payments sector. The company plans to gradually roll out advanced features and evaluate availability in initially restricted states such as New York and Massachusetts.
