TCS Blockchain and PayPal announced a collaboration to scale freight invoice settlement solutions using digital assets in North America’s trucking and transportation industry.
The initiative will use the PayPal USD (PYUSD) stablecoin as the settlement currency for invoice flows processed by TCS Blockchain, a company specialized in commercial financing for carriers.
For decades, carriers were forced to hand over their invoices to factoring companies to avoid payment terms ranging from 30 to 180 days, losing in many cases more than 30% of their net income. TCS Blockchain settled the world’s first on-chain freight invoice in 2022 and has since processed nearly 30 million TCS tokens in B2B transactions. The model offers instant financing, no reserve fees, and up to 90% cheaper than traditional factoring.
According to Todd Ziegler, CEO of TCS Blockchain, the company projects surpassing $1 billion in annual freight invoice flows during 2026, channeled first through the TCS token on the INX-Republic exchange and then via PYUSD.
